Treatment Approach
The focus of treatment is to help you define issues and assist in the understanding of why these issues exist in the first place. This means understanding "you" in the context of your unique circumstances, not someone else's. This also means a non-judgmental environment that focuses on understanding rather than moralizing. A major focus of intervention is not only the alleviation of symptoms, but finding the underlying causes that produce vicious negative life cycles and create long term distress. Once these causes and effects are understood, we become free to choose better ways of living and interacting with ourselves and others.
